Carlos Castillo Armas (Guatemala, 1954) Crea el Comité Nacional de Defensa contra el Comunismo, reconocido como el primer "escuadrón de la muerte" de la historia latinoamericana.
Suharto (Indonesia, 1965). El golpe de estado de 1965 contra el gobierno izquierdista de Sukarno dejó al menos medio millón de personas muertas. En 1975 Timor Oriental fue invadido por Suharto; más de cien mil personas murieron, entre ellos civiles y periodistas.
Augusto Pinochet (Chile, 1973-1990). Se estima que cerca de tres mil personas fueron asesinadas durante el régimen, y los casos de tortura y arrestos ilegales rebasan las decenas de miles.
Jorge Rafael Videla (Argentina, 1976-1981) Cerca de treinta mil argentinos asesinados.
